Nerf Gun Arena

You hold your breath, steady your aim… and in a flash, an orange foam dart bounces off your Dad’s head, sending everyone into laughter.

Foam warfare has never been this fun! Team Nerf returns to Deer Shed Festival, turning the arena into a playground of obstacles, hiding spots, and chaos—where heroes are made, rivals are outwitted, and no one escapes unscathed.

Sandy Pickle

At Deer Shed Festival, Sandy Pickle is a playful twist on the sport Pickleball designed for families.

Played on soft grass with slightly higher nets, the game is relaxed and welcoming for all ages. Parents and children rally the ball together, laughing as it bounces unpredictably on the field. The simple rules and open space make it easy for beginners, turning Sandy Pickle into a fun, energetic festival activity for everyone.

Ball on a String

Ball on a String

We’ve discovered that “Ball On A String” fits perfectly to the tune of “Band On The Run,” and now it’s officially stuck in our heads.

Honestly, is there a better soundtrack for the chaotic joy of launching a ball attached to high-tensile elastic? Grab hold, let loose, and embrace the wild recoil! It’s laughter, skill, and sheer fun all rolled into one—an unforgettable festival game that keeps everyone on their toes.

DIY Sports

DIY Sports

At Deer Shed Festival, the sports field buzzes with DIY sports that spark creativity and fun.

Families and friends invent their own games using cones, ropes, bats, and balls, turning ordinary equipment into playful challenges. From improvised obstacle courses to quirky races, everyone can join in. The emphasis is on laughter, teamwork, and imagination rather than competition, making the DIY sports area a lively, inclusive hub of energy for festival-goers of all ages.

Wrong Pong

Wrong Pong

At Deer Shed Festival, someone decided to organise a “ping-pong” activity, but it went hilariously wrong.

Instead of proper table tennis, people were playing on uneven grass with a shaky table and the ball constantly bouncing away. Players chased it across the field while the crowd laughed. It turned into more chaos and fun, than a real game, and ta-da - the wrong pong sessions were born. We haven't had them onsite for a while but we thought it was high time to bring them back.
