You’re never far from a bar at Deer Shed, all run by the independently owned, Malton-based Brass Castle, serving a fantastic range of lagers, ales, and spirits.

Fancy a more relaxed vibe? Pop into The Old Oak Bar near the Lodge Tent, where you can enjoy folk tunes alongside a new array of games, house puzzles, table tennis, and picnic benches.

If you’re ready to party in style, head to The Arbor Inn, perched at the top of the hill overlooking the main stage. With its vintage-inspired seating and laid-back late-night atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to soak up the festival vibes after dark. Then move next door to our In The Dock Tent and dance the night away!

And if you just need a quick, refreshing drink, stop by the emporium near the entrance to Wilderwild, where you can grab your favourite chilled tipple and keep the good times flowing.

Brass Castle

Ah, beer.

This year’s jam-packed line up of live music, comedy and creativity just wouldn’t be the same without it…

So, to avoid any chance of the festival going flat, we’ve invited none other than Brass Castle Brewery over the way from Malton to show us how it’s done as our main bar partner for Deer Shed. BCB will be pouring their core range of contemporary classics all weekend.

Beer Tasting Workshops

The popular Brass Castle Beer Tasting workshop is back at Deer Shed!

Join us at The Arbor Inn from 1:45–2:30pm on Saturday and Sunday to explore a range of craft beers, from refreshing lagers to rich ales. Learn tasting tips, discover unique flavours, and hear the stories behind Brass Castle’s locally brewed favourites. Perfect for beer lovers or anyone curious to raise a glass and savour something new.

For the Love of Coffee!

Coffee lovers rejoice!

This year, Deer Shed is serving up a fantastic selection of mostly Yorkshire-based coffee providers, all sourcing local ingredients and pairing your caffeine fix with delicious treats. Enjoy a cup from Fred & Bert's Coffee, Jo Jo’s Coffee, Rounton Coffee, Pantha, or Bakes by Vanilla Bean.

Whether it’s a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon indulgence, there’s something for every coffee fan.

Barrel & Bond Whiskey Tasting in the Woods

Founded in 2023 by Jonny, Barrel & Bond brings a love of whisky and food to events of all kinds. For the first time, he presents Round the World in 80 Drams in the Wilderwild woods at Deer Shed Festival. Carefully paired whiskies and foods create a memorable experience. Over 18s only, paid pre-bookable workshop.
