That’s why for 2026, our team have been busy behind the scenes giving the beloved Dear Shed Post a fresh new makeover. The newly revamped on-site postal service is back and ready to deliver smiles, surprises, and handwritten memories across the festival. Pop into the Dear Shed Post Office for postcards, messages, and hand-delivered notes to friends and family around site. Share your festival highlights, favourite discoveries, breakfast reviews, or important reminders to brush your teeth. However you say it, Dear Shed Post keeps the festival connected the old-fashioned way.

Performed from a beautifully crafted box mounted on the front of a penny farthing bicycle, the show blends storytelling, puppetry, humour, and visual theatre in a unique festival experience. With themes that still feel strikingly relevant today, this charming 20-minute performance delights both children and adults, bringing timeless folklore to life in a playful and unforgettable way.

The Things We Leave Behind is a self-reflective family experience created by The Broken Orchestra. Inside a vintage caravan filled with forgotten objects, visitors watch a short film before responding to one thoughtful question. Exploring legacy, family, and existence, the installation offers a space for reflection away from distractions. Supported by Arts Council England, this intimate 15-minute experience is recommended for families and anyone aged 10+.

Stockeld Park is one of Yorkshire’s best-loved family adventure destinations, packed with imaginative play, immersive worlds, and outdoor excitement for all ages. We’re excited to welcome the Stockeld team back to the festival this year with a dazzling after-dark experience inspired by their famous winter illuminations.
