Brown Horse

Brown Horse

Brown Horse make music that knows how to sit quietly with you — and when to kick the door clean off its hinges. Their songs begin with a kind of twangy tenderness, delicately arranged and thoughtfully paced, before swelling into something far bigger: a yowling, teary-eyed surge of guitars, accordion, banjo and pedal steel that feels both cathartic and beautifully uncontained. It’s indie rock steeped in country feeling, built for long drives, strange towns, and the hours when everything feels slightly heightened.

After signing to legendary label Loose Music, Brown Horse released their debut album Reservoir in early 2024, earning widespread critical praise for its raw, unvarnished immediacy. Recorded quickly and largely live, the record captured the band in motion — six musicians playing together, leaving in the rough edges and the moments of unpredictability that make the songs feel human and alive. Touring hard in its wake only sharpened that sense of shared momentum.

Their second album, All The Right Weaknesses, released in April 2025, builds on that foundation. Recorded after months on the road, it leans into what it means to be a band: listening, reacting, occasionally losing control and finding something better in its place.
