Katherine Greenwood is a Lecturer in Publishing and Creative Industries at York St John University. Her research explores inequalities of class and place in twenty-first-century writing and publishing, and she is currently writing a book on narratives of class in contemporary Britain. Before entering academia, Katherine spent 20 years working across the literary industries as an editor, mentor, literary scout and festival organiser.

A dedicated Deer Shedder and, above all, a mum, she brings a wealth of experience and insight to the festival. At Deer Shed, Katherine will be in conversation with Rob Cowen about his acclaimed latest book, The North Road.
