This display is action packed and here, anything is possible – you could travel to outer space or explore the deep blue sea. Here, all you need is a little bit of imagination!!
Story Craft Theatre is an award winning children's theatre company based in York and run by professionals Cassie Vallance and Janet Cosgriff.
The Bug Hotel
Come check-in to The Bug Hotel, a getaway for the tiniest guests! Step inside and you’ll be greeted by the busy bees, colourful caterpillars, and wiggly worms. These creepy-crawlies require your help! Can you solve the buggy dilemmas? And who is hiding in the honeycomb suite?
This fun-packed performance is interactive and bursting with sing-alongs, and educational facts. Created by Georgia Hill (CBeebies) and featuring music from Cat Gisby (Elle & the Pocket Belles).
The Sensory Play Picnic
Welcome to The Sensory Play Picnic. This is a delightful, food-themed adventure where mixing, cooking and mashing is easy for the littlest deer shedders, in a playful environment.
Led by artist Beatrice Lee Knowles, this hands-on experience is designed for the young kids to explore new textures, ingredients, and let their creativity grow through play. Get ready for this feast of fun! Join us to discover the joy of playful cooking in this extraordinary, multi-sensory session made just for curious minds.
The Bubble Hour
It's Bubble Hour, that means it's time to get ready for a fun, bubble-filled adventure! The excellent Bubbleologists from Bubble Inc – the team behind a staggering 12 Guinness World Records – are bringing their amazing bubble skills to the Mini Shedders Tent.
Watch as giant bubbles fly through the air, tiny bubbles dance, and bubble tricks are bound to leave kids giggling with glee. With over 20 years of bubble experience, come and get lost in the world of bubble wonder!
The Tiniest Night Club in the World (Toddlers ONLY)
Join us at the most exclusive club in town! The Tiniest Night Club in the World is an immersive world for toddlers. Inside this secretive blackout tent, lights flash, music jams and tiny dancers have free reign of the dancefloor. Their little feet can dance in the disco all day– this space is made just for them.

Welcome to The Little Feet Boogie! A magical dance workshop just for movers. Step into a world of music, and excitement, where tiny feet can dance and groove to fun, party beats. Lights and vibrant music make the dancefloor come alive, creating the perfect space for non-stop fun.
Head on down to boogie or show off your best moves. With an endless amount of amusement, Little Feet Boogie is the perfect place to dance and play.
Adventure Babies
Bring your little one along to a fun-filled storytelling adventure with Adventure Babies! Designed especially for newborns and up to children of 4 years old, these multi-award-winning sensory storytelling sessions bring tales to life through interactive tales, props, lights, songs, and even some messy play is included.
Watch children’s imagination grow as they hear stories that stimulate all of their senses, that can help develop their communication skills. Adventure Babies offers a brand-new world of wonder.
The Big Dig

From squishy to fluffy, these messy masterpieces are hands-on crafts that were made for nosey little explorers who love to touch and learn. This activity aims to provide a calming space for both parent and child to play and meet others while discovering art.
Børn of the Forest's Magical Mud Kitchen
Step into a world of exploration featuring some messy fun with Børn of the Forest's Magical Mud Kitchen! Perfect for those curious young explorers who want to get their hands dirty, this form of play allows children to get creative with nature. Run by forest school experts, it’s the ultimate activity for kids to dig, mix and splatter.

Lullabies with SHE Choir
Come and join the wonderful voices of SHE Choir for a special Lullabies Singalong, an uplifting musical moment for children to enjoy the art of singing. Welcome to Leaf Monsters! In this interactive, thrilling arts and crafts project, kids can turn cardboard cut-out leaves into their own crazy little monsters! With plenty of art equipment for the kids to use; googly eyes, vivid paint, and a whole lot of creativity - turn these leaves into something bonkers! Every leaf will get transformed into a one-of-a-kind edition.

Mini Masterpieces
Mini Masterpieces is the perfect task for those young, aspiring artists to begin their art journey!
Whether they’re expressing their inner Van Gogh with striking strokes, or simply sketching just like Da Vinci would have, every mini shedder has their own chance to create a new masterpiece and give these old paintings a new angle. The best way for kids to explore art and their own personal styles! Using calligraphy paper and water, little one's can paint to their hearts content without the mess or fuss.
Jaws on the Line
Dive into 'Jaws on the Line'— a fishing adventure designed for kids! Using tuff trays, mini shedders can safely experience the fun of fishing.
Each tuff tray is filled with water and equipped with child-friendly fishing rods and an array of colourful fish. Children will cast their lines, pull in their catch, and see all kinds of different sea creatures in a hands-on way. This activity also introduces basic fishing concepts but also enhances motor skills. The perfect bridge between education and entertainment!

BYOB rave! Bring your own baby! An entertaining, baby-friendly dancefloor where parents and children can dance together. With hype music and lots of space for movement, it’s the perfect way to dance and play together. A fun family bonding dance party– because even parents deserve to rave too!
Sensory Story Time
Emma will bring stories to life using your senses, supported by Makaton Signs and Symbols for an inclusive Sensory Story Time session for all.
Featured stories will include, 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' & 'Room on a Broom' by Julia Donaldson, linking to our theme 'Sense of Place'. We can't wait to have this accessible story time onsite helping your little ones wind down (or up) depending on the time of day.
