It is amusing me that a band with such a strong female singer and male singer partnership, seemingly so instep with each other, should be called Divorce. Ho-hum, who knows what goes on behind closed doors.

One thing is certain, Divorce do not particularly sound like they come from Nottingham, no disrespect. They have an alt-rock and Americana vibe which is further underlined by the 'Islands in the Stream' vocal collaboration. This is a joy to listen to, to be frank.

Their sound as a whole gives the impression of a world getting on with itself, on the surface at least.

"I should learn to love myself, without a reason or a doubt, but he's always coming in as I'm checking out" is a line that sums up this Country style smooooth delivery as featured here in track 'Checking Out'.

I for one am really looking forward to seeing them live at Deer Shed in 2025.
