You could say that New York singer-songwriter, harpist and guitarist Lizzie No makes “Americana” music, in that her work pulls from the rhythms and traditions of blues, folk and country. However, her collaborations with Brian Dunne, Pom Pom Squad and Domino Kirke also embrace an undeniable indie influence that allows No to move seamlessly between overlapping musical circles.

After two eclectic albums, Hard Won and Vanity, Lizzie's new record, Halfsies, finds her still searching for freedom from the constraints of categorisation, but more importantly, freedom from the depths of despair and an increasingly violent and nightmarish American cultural and political landscape.
