Dr. Jenessa Williams (she/her) is a lecturer, researcher and PhD Graduate of the University of Leeds.

Her thesis #MeToo and Music Fandom explored the way in which fan communities respond to allegations of celebrity sexual abuse across the intersections of race, genre, cancel culture and respectability politics. Jenessa also works as a freelance music journalist, writing regularly for the likes of the Guardian, NME, the Forty-Five, DIY, Alternative Press, and Music Week.
