Apply to Play Deer Shed

Deer Shed are thrilled to be bringing back our ‘Apply to Play’ artist development programme.

We are proud to be able to give emerging Northern talent a platform to share their music with the Deer Shed community.

This year we have partnered with EMI North, the UK’s first major label office based outside of London in the UK. They have a very simple goal: to support and invest in artists and creatives across the North of the UK, helping them to find new audiences and build their careers.

The winner of our Deer Shed X EMI North: Apply to Play will be supported in the next steps of their career as an artist and will receive:

• A performance slot on Friday 25th July including an artist fee, rider and catering - please ensure you are free on this date before applying
• Tickets for Deer Shed 2025 plus guest tickets
• Mentorship and advice sessions from the EMI North team
• Goody bag of EMI North merch

This opportunity is exclusively open to artists based in the North, and we welcome applications from artists coming from underrepresented backgrounds.

We enjoy any and all music; Deer Shed prides itself on the diversity of genres on the line up.

Applications close on 14th April, after which we will be holding a private panel with industry professionals to select one artist.
