Our chosen charity for 2025 is The Brain Charity
We are very pleased to be supporting The Brain Charity as our charity partner for 2025.
The Brain Charity helps people with all forms of neurological conditions to lead longer, healthier, happier lives. There are more than 600 conditions affecting the brain, spine and nervous system. They are the only charity in the UK to be there for every single one of them; providing practical help & emotional support to anyone affected so they can rebuild their lives and achieve their potential.
This is a charity particularly close to our hearts at Deer Shed as they recently supported a family who have been part of the festival since day one. Archie who you may have seen onsite over the years, is currently in training for a run which will see him visit all Premier League Football Stadiums! This challenge will start in April 2025, in memory of his father, and will raise funds & awareness for The Brain Charity.
Here’s what Archie has to say: ‘Over the last 14 years, Deer Shed Festival has produced so many great memories with family and friends. From being an 8-year-old lad watching ‘The Wedding Present’ headline Deer Shed 1 with my family, to being a young adult and working the festival itself. Along the way I have met so many great people and I continue to do so every year I’m there. Long may this last. I am so excited to partner with Deer Shed Festival for my challenge in memory of Dad, raising money and awareness for The Brain Charity along the way.’
And finally, a message from The Brain Charity's CEO Pippa Sargent: "At The Brain Charity, we champion the creativity, complexity and uniqueness of the human brain. That's why partnering with Deer Shed, a 'wonderland of creativity' feels like such a perfect fit for us. We look forward to getting to know Deer Shed's brilliant festivalgoers and telling them more about The Brain Charity. We're incredibly grateful to Archie for his tireless fundraising in memory of his dad, and know how much Deer Shed meant to them both."
