Cold Plunges & Ice Baths
It’s not just our epic music lineup or our sidesplitting Big Top bill that’ll take your breath away at Deer Shed this year, we’re also running a series of Ice Bath and Cold Plunge sessions to kick start your metabolism and focus your mind like nothing else.
An incredible opportunity to recalibrate your physical and mental fortitude with the team from Sauna Box, whilst appreciating the natural beauty of our very own Baldersby Park.
These sessions will book up fast so be sure to sign up if you’re interested in taking the plunge!

Sauna Box
Guys, we’ve found it, the best thing since sliced bread; it’s a sauna on wheels and, even better, it’s coming to Deer Shed 13.
Sauna Box is exactly what it sounds like, a trailer lovingly converted into a fully-fledged sauna to provide a portable paradise where fading folk can disconnect from the festival frenzy for a bit and dial back into their sense of self.
On top of all that, it’s also a great place to have a proper good catch up with your pals without having to shout over the main stage singalong. Get yourself booked in for some woodfired wellbeing.

Fenwick Ridley
Fenwick Ridley might not look like your average athlete, but then there’s nothing average about what Fenwick does… The bushy-bearded, gentle giant is in fact a gold medal-winning endurance ice swimmer!
To the uninitiated (that's us), ice swimming might not sound like a ton of fun; but Fenwick is here to explain how a quick dip in cold water isn’t just physically good for us, it can also help people struggling with their mental health.
Fenwick is joining our pre-booked Sunday Sauna, Cold Plunge and Wild Swim sessions to help us seek clarity in ice cold water - we’ll dive in if you do!

Yoga Kula Presents Daoist Flow Yoga
You might be wondering just how your friends manage to squeeze yoga into their lives between the daily commutes and school runs but, once you’ve tried it, we think you’ll understand what all the fuss is about.
The lovely Yoga Kula team see their bespoke blend of yoga and chi gong as a tonic for the busy day-to-day, so we’ve invited them up from Leeds to show us how taking time to focus on ourselves can generate a positive, refreshing ripple effect throughout our lives.
Trust us; if you’re not already hooked, you soon will be!

Emma Estrela
Did you catch Wim Hof on the telly recently? The guy who loves nothing more than dunking himself into ice-cold water whilst sporting little more than an array of funky headbands? If you thought ‘I’d like to try that’, you’re in luck!
We’ve invited Emma Estrela, the only Level 3 Wim Hof Method instructor in the UK, to join us in Baldersby Park and give a masterclass in the incredible rejuvenatory powers of cold therapy and controlled breathing, from stress relief to fat loss.
Note - Colourful headbands entirely optional (but highly encouraged!).

Caribbean Carnival Dance Party
Great news, Tricia is back with her fun-filled, sun-soaked Carnival Workshop!
You’re never too small or tall to treat yourself to a slice of the Caribbean, so don one of Tricia’s marvellously multicoloured scarves and take inspiration from her incredible carnival costumes as you learn how to dance, Island style.
Whether you’re a Carnival connoisseur or this is your first foray into festival footwork, Tricia’s workshop will have you grinning from ear to ear and dancing for days.

Prime Wellbeing
It’s not all rock’n’roll, side-splitting comedy and madcap activities here at Deer Shed (well, it mostly is) - Prime Wellbeing are on hand if you or someone you’re here with could do with some ‘me time'.
Whether you danced that bit too hard last night or Mum’s woken up with the dreaded airbed backache, Prime’s multidisciplined team of masseurs are back again; offering reflexology, body massages and holistic facials to help us relax from head to toe.
If this sounds more your thing, then you'll be able to pre-book your therapy in advance soon. Aaaaand relax.
To book one of these amazing treatments direct head over to Prime's website.

Sonic Bathing
You might have already heard whispers (or should that be Oms?) about Sonic Bathing as it’s quickly becoming one of the coolest ways to unwind.
We’ve invited seasoned practitioner Tracey West to lead a special Sonic Bathing session here at Deer Shed this year, which will help us to unify our bodies and our minds after a bit too much fun over the weekend.
Using a carefully curated combination of gongs, natural sounds and frequencies, Tracey’s session will re-energise our minds and cleanse our souls. Our bodies, however, will still need a good old-fashioned scrub unfortunately!

Nii Kwartey Owoo
How cool is this? Nii Kwartey Owoo has been an official Custodian of West African Culture since he was just 12 years old! Channelling such an incredible tapestry of music, storytelling, dance and spiritualism into everything he does, we can’t wait to see what Nii has in store for us here at Deer Shed.
Expect spellbinding stories, colourful costumes, eye boggling dance moves and some seriously impressive drumming courtesy of none other than Nii Kwartey’s dad, Nii Boye, in this highly interactive, fun-filled family show.

Go Recharge
Whether you’re dabbling in yoga for the first time or just need to ease into things gently after last night, our Go Recharge yoga session is aimed at slowly relaxing and recharging mind and body so you’re ready to face the day.
We’re pairing a series of accessible positions with a soundtrack specifically designed to take things down a gear so feel free to turn up, take a mat and, after a final relaxing guided meditation, treat yourself to a nap too if you like.

Forest Bathing
Take a dunk in the great outdoors with our sensory Forest Bathing sessions. Inspired by the Japanese art of Shinrin-Yoku, forest bathing is a slow-paced woodland walk lead by an expert guide who will help you disconnect from the buzz of everyday life and reconnect with the natural rhythm of the forest.
Submerge yourself in the verdant green of our very own pinetum (it’s definitely a word) and learn how a walk in the woods can help you detox your mind, focus your thinking and even help you sleep better.

Tai Chi
From ancient Chinese monasteries to the here and now in Baldersby Park, discover the nourishing wisdom of Tai Chi with Wes Mollison of Equinox Tai Chi.
For hundreds of years the gentle, graceful movements, meditations and breathing techniques of Tai Chi have helped people of all ages around the world to focus their minds and revitalise their bodies, leaving them chilled out and ready to face whatever comes next.
We’re really looking forward to honing our inner harmony with Wes!

Hang in the Hammocks
We can't think of any situation that isn't made instantly relaxing with the addition of a hammock and that includes all the fun and games we've got planned for this year's Deer Shed.
Whether you're already hanging loose with the best of them or you're new to hammock life, come lie back and take a load off for a while. FYI, sleeping in hammocks can reduce the pressure on your back; worth bearing in mind as you squash that old air bed into the back of the car...

Bare Foot Walking
When was the last time you walked anywhere barefoot? If you’re anything like us, it’s much longer ago than you realised!
So, shed your dancing shoes for a while and reconnect with the world beneath your feet on our Bare Foot Walking session. We've carefully charted a route through Baldersby Park that'll stimulate your senses and put you back in touch with nature in a way so many of us have all but forgotten.
You’ll be amazed how quickly the feeling of grass between your toes again can melt the humdrum of daily life.

Sunday Sunrise Flow with CatBeYoga
Got that last day of the festival feeling? Have no fear, Cat is here! A seasoned festival-goer as well as a Yoga teacher, Cat knows the struggle all too well.
We’re talking super chilled out yoga here… Cat will help stretch out all those tent induced aches and pains (maybe the odd sore head too) with plenty of time for relaxation at the end. You can just lie down and breathe if you like, yogi’s choice as always.
Join Cat on the mat and make the most of your last day at Deer Shed 13.

Poetry and Yoga
Olivia started sharing her poetry with the world in lockdown; she’d write a poem each day and pin it on her gate for passers by to read. Since then, she’s had two collections published and been appointed BBC Radio York’s Poet Laureate!
Passionate about sharing uplifting ideas with others, Olivia has joined forces with renowned Yoga instructor Sam Alexander-Vasey to create a unique Poetry and Yoga session for us lucky Deer Shedders, providing some much-needed relaxation and rejuvenation in body and in mind after an action-packed weekend. Now, what rhymes with yoga?

Energetic Fusion
Now this is something new, a unique approach to relaxation and rejuvenation which sees the stretching and strengthening of Yoga paired with the energising breathwork, tapping techniques and dynamic movements of Qigong.
Don’t worry if it all sounds a bit intense, this is a fun and carefree class for Shed-heads of all ages and abilities! Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm for trying something a bit different. We reckon you’re gonna love it.
