Buckamoo
Buckamoo! Yep, you read that right; it's just like another, similarly named children's game but ours has a massive pantomime cow!
Can you get the most objects on its back? Or will you be left chewing the cud? And remember - watch out for a pat on the head…
Buckamoo has been brought up to Baldersby Park by 6FootStories, who just like us consider themselves proud purveyors of interactive silliness and theatrical roguery. So, if it’s silliness and roguery you’re after you’ve most definitely got to grab the bull by the horns and give Buckamoo a go!

Chris Ruffonis's Solar Powered Sound Installation
Well, we asked for massive, weather-powered mechanical musical instruments and boy did sound artist and electronic eccentric Chris Ruffoni provide…
Guitar strings, solar panels and a whole mess of secret circuitry are squeezed into a series of beautiful bee-hive like wooden contraptions that are quite literally played by the sun.
Having first heard Chris’ incredible creations on Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone courtesy of BBC 6Music, we absolutely had to see them in action for ourselves. We highly recommend you do too!

Dilutely Juice
Having burst onto the streets of Tyne and Wear in 2020, DILUTEY JUICE aren’t just one of the best named bands we’ve ever had here at Deer Shed, they’re the most incredible brass party band we’ve ever seen!
Inspired by flavours from all over the shop, from Afrobeat grooves to euphoric ‘90s House music, funked up free jazz to fist-pumping punk rock, DILUTEY JUICE are here to put the sauce in sousaphone with their delectable section of double concentrate anthems.

The Dear Post
In an age of instant messaging and whatever these new-fangled TickTocks are, good old snail mail still holds a special place in our hearts…
So much so that we’ve only gone and set up our very own on-site messenger service! Swing by our Dear Shed Post Office (get it?) for all your hand-delivery needs and celebrate the weekend with friends and family by sending them a postcard from right here at the festival.
Where have you been? Who have you seen? Where are you off to next? What did you have for breakfast? Have you brushed your teeth? Let The Dear Shed Post help you answer all these burning questions and more!

George Bishop
We’re really excited to have contemporary dancer and choreographer George Bishop up from Leeds for Deer Shed 13. Exploring themes of connection and emotion within movement, George has put together a special show which sees two unconventional dancers paired together in a new space.
Together, they’ll play with ideas of conflict and harmony, blurring the edges where play finishes and the fight starts. Made with outdoor spaces like ours in mind, George’s show is full of contemporary movement, fun elements and plenty of clowning around too!

Tree of Life
Come to the Freedom Stall to leave your handprint on the right side of history. Draw around your hand and decorate it, adding in your name and a message of kindness to refugees. We’ll be displaying all your handprints to show how many of us want to show kindness to people seeking safety.
At Freedom from Torture, we work with refugees and asylum seekers who have escaped and survived torture. We provide specialist therapy services, welfare and legal support, and campaign for fairer treatment of refugees here in the UK.

Camera Obscura
It’s not often you get the chance to step inside a camera, is it? Well here it is!
Although dark at first in this Little White Shed of Wonder, give your eyes a bit of time adjust and let the wonder of light illuminate the world outside. There’s no lenses, technological tricks or gizmo gimmickry here, it’s just natural light doing its thing.
What’s that over there? Is that Dad busting out his best moves? Wait, who's that tucking into your emergency snack pack!? Cheeky!
